I aim to inspire the everyday hybrid athlete to focus on the journey rather than the destination by integrating a holistic approach to performance and well-being.
Hi, I’m Abby.
I am your Registered Dietitian, here to help you feel and fuel your best in whatever way you adventure. Whether you’re a mountain athlete, feel more at home in a gym, or find yourself wanting to do all the things… I’m here to support you!
Moving to Colorado was pivotal in my journey of soul-searching and finding true health. The mountains have changed who I am as a person. I chase the high of zoning out on a trail and sumitting peaks. Fully immersing myself in the feeling of being alive.
I joined a CrossFit gym which gradually taught me about my body and shifted my thinking to desire a strong body rather than constantly trying to shrink it. These experiences were the driving forces for my decision to pursue my degree and how I developed a passion for helping others.
I grew up as a pretty average athlete on the East Coast. I participated in team sports and joined the cross country team in high school. I had no idea what I was getting into when I made this decision but it turned out to be the introduction to a passion that would later grow.
I was raised in a time of many fad diets and food fears, which led to body image issues and extremes. My life had become more about the party scene through high school and college. While it was fun, it was slowly destroying me.
I moved to a small beach town off the coast where my journey really took a turn. A place where I was confronted with two choices- putting that life to rest or continuing down the path I was on.
After much convincing and support, I chose my “wellness journey,” and it completely changed (read: saved) my life. With my newfound sobriety, I was determined to heal all aspects of my life. It’s a work in progress, but I have found the things that make my body and soul feel better.
In 2022, I graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver with my Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics. In 2024, I completed my 1,000+ hour internship to become a Registered Dietitian. My undergraduate degree is in psychology and I hold a certification as a Personal Trainer.
My education has taught me that there is more enjoyment in being fulfilled than restriction, that I have seen better results in my body and performance when my mindset shifted, and that healing is ever-evolving.
I feel better, I am stronger, and I have grown more resilient.
Today, I see the benefit (and joy!) in eating carbs, I’d rather lift heavy weights than do hours of HIIT to exhaustion, and I’d rather enjoy running than use it as a punishment.
My goal is to walk with you on the journey to finding these things too.
Nutrition is a science but it is also so much more.
